The Idea
On the MCA-Malawi II compact, the people most affected by the roadworks were the ones with the least information about them. Communities learn their land is being reallocated due to construction but not when, or what it means for them. That gap is where infrastructure projects turn into grievance and delay
Working with AECOM, LOWRES built the public communication that carried the process to affected communities: posters, forms, banners, and newsletters covering construction awareness, relocation, anti-corruption guidance, and what to expect next across 4 languages English, Chichewa, Yao and Tumbuka.
Every piece answered to one test, whether a person with no technical background could read it and know what was happening and what to do. That is what it delivered, tocommunities under real disruption.
